Animal Friends and Joii Partner for Free Consultations

Animal Friends was founded in 1998 with the sole aim of providing pet insurance to help support animal welfare charities both in the UK and around the world.

We have donated over £4.5 million so far, and don’t plan on stopping. This year, amongst other charitable projects and contributions, we teamed up with Margaret Green Animal Rescue on a rehoming campaign and donated £35,000 towards their selfless work. We’re delighted to say that we were able to help 8 animals find their forever homes. The happiness and welfare of all animals are important to us, that’s why we are excited to announce our partnership with Joii Pet Care.

Animal Friends and Joii partner for free online consultationsWe’ve partnered up with Joii Pet Care to bring our customers a free and convenient alternative to traditional vet appointments. This service will enable our customers to receive qualified vet advice from the comfort of their own home, any time of day or night.

A vet consultation usually costs £20 but is free for Animal Friends cat and dog customers. That’s right, all of our cat and dog policyholders get to use Joii for free, giving Animal Friends customers the power to take better care of their pets at home.

Joii is an app that enables you to video call a qualified vet on your phone, helping keep you and your pet healthy and happy at home. The service is delivered by a network of registered vets and vet nurses through video consultations, online nurse clinics, and so much more.

This service is available 24/7, 365 days a year. If you’re ever worried about your cat or dog when the vet is closed, the app, it’s symptom checker, qualified vets and vet nurses can help you identify the problem without having to worry about paying an out of hours fee.
Joii’s range of free nurse clinics is designed to help keep your pet healthy. These online clinics allow you to speak to one of the Joii veterinary nurses for advice on things like your pet’s weight, diet, parasite protection, grooming and top tips on caring for a pet from their first year of life through to their wiser years.

We have also teamed up with Dog First Aid Franchise to create a variety of valuable content to help pet owners learn what to do in an emergency involving their beloved pet as well as how to avoid them in the first place.

Dog First Aid Franchise offers award-winning courses teaching canine first aid to thousands of doggy folk nationwide, from owners to behaviourists. The team are currently running interactive and live virtual classes for owners to attend from the comfort of their own homes.

Jo Middleton, the founder of Dog First Aid Franchise, has been running us through some of the vital information needed to help save a dog’s life. So far, we’ve covered the best practices on examining your dog, the basics of canine first aid, what to do if your dog was choking, and common poisons, with more life-saving tutorials and advice being uploaded every month.

Here at Animal Friends, we are committed to offering pet owners affordable insurance policies and useful expert partnerships to provide that support network of companies whose values are in line with ours.

By protecting your pet with an Animal Friends policy, you’ll not only be helping us help animal charities worldwide, but you’ll also have access to all our benefits and can take advantage of our exclusive discounts.
